About Nador International School
Nador International School (NIS) is a new international school in Nador, Morocco. NIS aims to connect high-quality international education with personal development, multilingualism and strong engagement with the local community.
From opening, NIS will offer education within Cambridge Early Years, Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary. In a next development phase, the educational offering will be expanded with Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced.
As a new school, NIS offers staff the opportunity to contribute actively to the development of its education, school culture and school community.
About the role
As a Mathematics teacher, you deliver inspiring and purposeful mathematics teaching within Secondary. You help students understand mathematical concepts, make connections and develop strategies to solve problems independently and systematically.
You adapt your teaching to different levels and learning needs and encourage students to further develop their mathematical insight, reasoning skills and confidence. You also contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum and the Mathematics department.
Key responsibilities
As a Mathematics teacher, you:
- plan and deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons;
- make mathematical concepts understandable and connect them with meaningful applications;
- develop students’ mathematical insight, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities;
- adapt teaching to different levels and educational needs;
- monitor and assess students’ development and give targeted feedback;
- contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum and the Mathematics department, and work with colleagues on cross-curricular teaching;
- communicate professionally with students, parents and colleagues and contribute to the school community.
What you bring
Required qualifications
You have:
- a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education or a comparable relevant field;
- a teaching qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification appropriate to the role;
- a good command of English;
- strong subject, teaching and pedagogical skills;
- the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and to adapt teaching to different levels and educational needs;
- good communication and collaboration skills;
- a professional, responsible and student-centred working attitude.
Desirable:
- experience with Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE or a comparable international curriculum;
- experience in an international or multilingual school environment;
- command of French and/or Arabic.
