Families interested in NIS can register their interest and start a pre-registration. Based on your child’s age, educational background and development, we then look at which next steps are appropriate. A pre-registration is without obligation and does not constitute a definitive enrolment or a guarantee of placement.

A careful and personal admissions process
Students can join NIS from different countries, schools and education systems. That is why we look not only at age or the current year group, but at the child’s broader educational background and development. Our admissions process consists of five steps.
Tell us about your child
Through the pre-registration we receive basic information about your child, such as date of birth, current school, year group and education system. This information helps us form an initial picture of your child’s educational background. A pre-registration is without obligation and does not constitute a definitive enrolment or a guarantee of placement.
Getting to know each other
During a personal meeting we get to know the family and discuss the child’s educational background, development and school experience. Parents also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about NIS, our educational approach and the further admissions procedure.
A clear picture of the student
Where relevant, we review previous school reports and other available educational information. Depending on age, educational background and possible placement, an age-appropriate intake or assessment may form part of the admissions procedure. The aim is to gain a careful picture of where a student stands and which learning environment and support are appropriate.
A suitable stage and group
Parents do not need to determine in advance which Cambridge stage or group their child should be placed in. Based on age, educational background, previous school experience and, where needed, an intake, NIS assesses which stage and group are the best fit. NIS discusses the placement proposal with the parents and then determines the appropriate stage and group. Placement depends on the educational offering and the places available at that time.
Completing the enrolment
Once a placement is possible and has been confirmed by NIS, the required documents and the formal enrolment can be completed. Parents then receive further information about preparing for their child’s start at NIS.

Register your interest without a definitive commitment
A pre-registration is a first step for families with a serious interest in a future place at NIS.
By submitting a pre-registration, you enable us to record your interest and to contact you about the possibilities for your child.
A pre-registration is not a definitive enrolment and offers no guarantee of admission or placement.
A definitive enrolment only takes place once the admissions procedure has been completed and a placement has been confirmed by NIS.
The right placement
From the current school to the right NIS stage
During the pre-registration we ask for your child’s current group or year. During the admissions process we then look at age, school history and educational background. Together with you, we discuss which stage within NIS best matches your child’s development and previous learning experience.
That is why we do not ask parents to choose a Cambridge stage or group themselves.
NIS looks at the child’s age, current year group, educational background and development. Where necessary, we use additional information or an intake to arrive at a suitable placement.
In this way, the focus is not on the name of a class or education system, but on a learning environment in which the student can continue to develop well.
Our learning pathway
An educational offering that grows in phases
The planned NIS learning pathway runs from Cambridge Early Years to Cambridge Advanced.
At the start, the focus is on the stages for the students NIS welcomes first. As the school grows and students move up, the educational offering will be expanded further.
Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced are being developed in phases and will not be offered in full from the start.

Clarity from the very first contact
NIS welcomes interest from Moroccan, international and expat families.
English is the central language of instruction and communication at NIS. French and Arabic also have their own place within the curriculum, appropriate to each stage.
Students can join from different national and international education systems.
Placement depends on the admissions procedure, available places and the educational offering available at that time.
Families interested in Cambridge Upper Secondary or Cambridge Advanced can register their interest.
