About Nador International School

Nador International School (NIS) is a new international school in Nador, Morocco. NIS aims to connect high-quality international education with personal development, multilingualism and strong engagement with the local community.

From opening, NIS will offer education within Cambridge Early Years, Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary. In a next development phase, the educational offering will be expanded with Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced.

As a new school, NIS offers staff the opportunity to contribute actively to the development of its education, school culture and school community.

About the role

As an ICT teacher, you deliver practical and future-focused ICT teaching across Primary and Secondary. You help students develop digital skills and teach them to use technology safely, responsibly and purposefully.

You adapt your teaching to students’ age, level and learning needs and build from basic digital skills towards computational thinking, programming and working independently with digital applications. You also contribute to the development of the continuous ICT learning pathway at NIS.

Key responsibilities

As an ICT teacher, you:

  • plan and deliver practical, engaging ICT lessons across Primary and Secondary;
  • develop digital skills and the safe and responsible use of technology;
  • introduce students to computational thinking, programming and digital applications at an appropriate level;
  • encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and independent work;
  • monitor and assess students’ development and give targeted feedback;
  • contribute to the development of the continuous ICT learning pathway and work with colleagues on cross-curricular learning activities;
  • communicate professionally with students, parents and colleagues and contribute to the school community.

What you bring

Required qualifications

You have:

  • a bachelor’s degree in ICT, informatics, computer science, education or a comparable relevant field;
  • a teaching qualification or an equivalent recognised qualification appropriate to the role;
  • a good command of English;
  • strong subject, teaching and pedagogical skills;
  • knowledge of digital skills, computational thinking and the basic principles of programming;
  • the ability to make ICT concepts accessible for different ages, levels and learning needs;
  • good communication and collaboration skills;
  • a professional, responsible and student-centred working attitude.

Desirable:

  • experience with ICT teaching in Primary and/or Secondary;
  • experience in an international or multilingual school environment;
  • experience with programming, coding or digital learning projects in an education environment;
  • command of French and/or Arabic.
