About Nador International School
Nador International School (NIS) is a new international school in Nador, Morocco. NIS aims to connect high-quality international education with personal development, multilingualism and strong engagement with the local community.
From opening, NIS will offer education within Cambridge Early Years, Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary. In a next development phase, the educational offering will be expanded with Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced.
As a new school, NIS offers staff the opportunity to contribute actively to the development of its education, school culture and school community.
About the role
As a Cambridge Primary Teacher, you are responsible for the education and development of a class of students within Cambridge Primary.
You deliver coherent and purposeful teaching in line with the Cambridge Primary curriculum, with particular attention to English, Mathematics and Science. You create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which students can be curious, ask questions, work together and learn with growing independence.
You work closely with colleagues and contribute to the further development of education at NIS.
Key responsibilities
As a Cambridge Primary Teacher, you:
- plan and deliver purposeful, well-structured lessons within Cambridge Primary;
- provide a strong foundation in English, Mathematics and Science and connect learning with other learning areas where possible;
- adapt teaching to differences in level, development and educational needs;
- create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment;
- monitor and evaluate students’ development and use this information to adjust teaching;
- encourage curiosity, independence, collaboration and responsibility;
- maintain constructive contact with parents;
- work closely with colleagues and contribute to a coherent educational offering;
- contribute to activities, projects and initiatives within the school community;
- make an active contribution to the further development of Cambridge Primary and of NIS as a whole.
What you bring
Required qualifications
You have:
- a relevant bachelor’s degree in education and child development, or a comparable qualification;
- a good command of English, appropriate to teaching in English;
- demonstrable knowledge of and experience with the development and educational needs of primary-age children;
- the ability to prepare, deliver and evaluate teaching in a structured way;
- strong pedagogical and communication skills;
- the willingness to contribute actively to the development of a new international school.
Desirable:
- experience with Cambridge Primary or a comparable international curriculum;
- experience in an international or multilingual school environment;
- experience with formative assessment and differentiated teaching;
- experience with project-based or cross-curricular teaching;
- command of French and/or Arabic.
