About Nador International School
Nador International School (NIS) is a new international school in Nador, Morocco. NIS aims to connect high-quality international education with personal development, multilingualism and strong engagement with the local community.
From opening, NIS will offer education within Cambridge Early Years, Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary. In a next development phase, the educational offering will be expanded with Cambridge Upper Secondary and Cambridge Advanced.
As a new school, NIS offers staff the opportunity to contribute actively to the development of its education, school culture and school community.
About the role
As a Cambridge Early Years Teacher, you guide young children through an important phase of their development. You create a safe and stimulating environment in which children feel seen and can develop through play.
You deliver purposeful learning activities within Cambridge Early Years and support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, motor and language development. In doing so, you take differences in development, interests and educational needs into account.
You work closely with colleagues and maintain open and professional communication with parents and guardians.
Key responsibilities
As a Cambridge Early Years Teacher, you:
- plan and deliver purposeful, developmentally appropriate and playful learning activities within Cambridge Early Years;
- create a safe, warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment;
- encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive, motor and language development;
- observe and monitor children’s development and progress;
- adapt activities to differences in development, interests and educational needs;
- encourage curiosity, independence, collaboration and self-confidence;
- support children in developing positive routines and social skills;
- work closely with colleagues and any teaching assistants;
- maintain professional and engaged communication with parents and guardians;
- contribute to activities, projects and the further development of Cambridge Early Years at NIS.
What you bring
Required qualifications
You have:
- at least a baccalaureate diploma or an equivalent qualification;
- a good command of English, appropriate to guiding children and to professional communication within NIS;
- demonstrable knowledge of, or affinity with, the development and educational needs of young children;
- the ability to create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment;
- strong pedagogical and communication skills;
- the willingness to contribute actively to the development of a new international school.
Desirable:
- a degree or additional qualification in Early Years, education, pedagogy, child development or a comparable field;
- experience with Cambridge Early Years or a comparable international curriculum;
- experience with young children in an international or multilingual education environment;
- experience with developmentally appropriate and play-based learning;
- experience with observing and monitoring young children’s development;
- command of French and/or Arabic.
